In a meeting with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Ms. Sadako Ogata, Aminzadeh emphasized the need to provide the Afghan people with health services and occupation in Afghanistan through assistance of the entire international community.
-- Persian Gulf Weekly Faces Temporary Ban BUSHEHR The Tehran-based Special Court for Clerics has imposed a temporary ban on Bushehr-based weekly, Persian Gulf.
The verdict on the temporary ban has been conveyed to the weekly Director Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Ahmadi through the provincial Department of Culture and the Islamic Guidance in Bushehr.
Ahmadi said that he had been summoned to the Special Court for Clerics twice several months ago and answered questions about publishing interview with Hojjatoleslam Bayat in one issue of the weekly.
-- Appeals Court Decision on Iran Jews Due Thursday TEHRAN Iranian Jews accused of espionage for the Zionist regime will hear Thursday the result of their appeal against jail terms.
The court's ruling due September 5 was postponed after the judges of the city's Appeals Court could not agree if sentences for the various offences should be served consecutively or concurrently, court spokesman Hossein-Ali Amiri said at the time.
